Tuesday Tales are Evil...Really?

Image
Ahoy Fellow Fathomers! This week our group writes to the simple sounding word- evil.    This will be the last installment f ro m Heart Nectar, a new WIP for a new series please see my interpretation. ! “I'd never do anything evil to you.” Rubbing his hands together, George kept looking at Mindie, his eyes pleading, asking for chances to be her everything. “Why didn’t you tell me?” Stupid question, her reaction, this situation, everything told her why. How could she ignore the sincerity of his love coming through each motion of body language? “Well, I mean, I know why you didn’t tell me, but, I’m still not sure how to take it.” “I only wanted an honest beginning, nothing complicated, no strings, no reason for you to doubt my feelings for you have nothing to do with business. I’m asking you to trust me, no matter how difficult it may be.” Staring at a spot on the floor, she refused to look into his eyes. All resolve disappeared when she gazed into h...

Tuesday Tales, I'll Take a Cup of That

Image
Ahoy Fellow Fathomers! This week our group writes to the simple sounding word- cup.    Fro m Heart Nectar , a new WIP for a new series please see my interpretation. “Hey, beautiful, what time should I pick you up tonight?” Overthinking the question, every syllable took on some kind of hidden meaning. Key words pinged off a word meter in her brain. Hey, generally meant casual, but, why should he be casual, he’d seen her areola up close and personal. Did he really mean beautiful, as in the most glorious sight he’d ever seen. Don’t even get started on the should I pick you up tonight, was this some kind of menial hook-up, some weird means to an end? “I don’t know, whatever time works for you.” “I didn’t know how long it takes for you to get ready between work and home. You might want more time than I’m willing to wait.” “I’d take my wine in a coffee cup, I’m not some kind of snob. It doesn’t take me hours to get ready for some simple night out.” Why the hel...

Tuesday Tales, It's Getting Crazy Wavy Up In Here

Image
Ahoy Fellow Fathomers! This week's Tuesday Tales prompt is the word "wavy". Please see how I use "wavy" in my new WIP YA paranormal romance, Finding Love in a Black Lagoon- Book 3 in the Critter Getter series .  Me and Sasquatch! From Central City, Colorado A violent shudder rustled the water and the weeds, splashing up from the surface. Fat droplets sprayed outward, hitting Caleb in the face. More determined than ever, Caleb plunged the stick further into the center. “Get out of there and show yourself!” He gritted his teeth and stood his ground. Suddenly, the water reeds parted and another heron flew out from the center, its wings flapped and it swished the tall, wavy weeds around. Caleb reflexively jumped and dropped the stick. Owen remained still, but, his head jerked slightly backward and cocked to one side. The girls shrieked almost in unison.  “It was a dang bird nest in there!” Kalista breathed a sigh of relief, and almost collap...

Tuesday Tales - Don't Confuse the Lube with Ointment!

Image
Ahoy Fellow Fathomers! This week's Tuesday Tales prompt is the word "long". Please see how I use "long" in my new WIP erotic romance,  Sexy Bea Spelling . Our heroine, Bea, uses a week to lose her inhibitions, but, did she lose her heart as well? “We had the lights off because the toddlers fell asleep on our bed. I wanted my Tammy time before I moved them.” Craig’s face turned bright red. “I don’t think I can finish this story, my buzz wore off.” Tammy shook her head. “Craig told me something didn’t seem right, but, I said the lube was fine, just squirt out a handful and let’s go. At that point, the babies were getting restless, we didn’t have much time.” Tammy shook her head. “This sounds like some kind of Mission Impossible thing.” Craig temporarily forgot his embarrassment. “With kids, intimacy is a Mission Impossible thing, Bea, trust us.” “Craig put a large dollop in the center of my girl parts and proceeded to, you know, enter me.” Tammy...

Flasher Fiction Friday - What Evil is Behind These Eyes?

Image
Ahoy Fellow Fathomers, this Friday I return to my first recurring blog contribution, the Friday Flash Fiction. A group of writers will write exactly 100 words, no more no less, to a picture prompt. After you read my contribution, please read what the other writers have to say, the links follow. Happy Friday! Pearl envisioned the group of bullies getting closer before she heard their hideous voices yelling threats of torment and maniacal laughter. The Lord of the Flies mentality permeated the group of reckless kids and today, their intensity scared her. Pearl thought how their eyes seemed evil, almost inhuman, especially the leader- the iris wasn’t even a normal color.  She focused on the sticky mud at the bottom of the river and imagined her rescuer. Pearl deepened her breathing, almost to a yogic state and forced almost every ounce of breath from her lungs, and her  well timed nervous system calmed her.  For more on this unique photo prompt, please visit the...

Tuesday Tales Coming On Rather Abruptly

Image
I know last week I left everyone wondering where Joelle fell when the rotting walkway gave out. But, with this weeks' word prompt, abrupt, I couldn't fit it in! So, I'm moving back to my other work in progress, Sexy Bea Spelling. Let's see what Andrew thinks of Bea... “We don’t have to go home yet, do we?” “I’m still on administrative leave until they decide what to do with me, Andrew. You’re the one with a job in the morning.” The velvety nighttime sky set a perfect backdrop for the downtown Dallas skyline of lights. The ribbon of lights around the Omni Hotel changed colors as it cascaded down the numerous stories. The Reunion Tower ball glowed brightly with a dancing display of clear lights. They hopscotched around the orb in hyperactive motions. Andrew drove leisurely through the city holding Bea’s hand, his thumb stroking her palm. “You know what they say it means when someone scratches the palm of your hand, don’t you?” Bea leaned closer to him from he...
