Flash Fiction Friday - Don't You Love Sitting in his Lap?

Image
TGIF Fellow Fathomers and welcome to the last day of January 2014. I hope you are staying warm where you are. I skimmed an article today that explained parts of Alaska had warmer weather than parts of the contiguous 48 States. This is crazy. But, all this cold weather does mean you can cuddle with the one you love and keep warm. And, so the chill of the month is perfect for the picture below. Just how warm do you think these two are? What story do they have to tell? Well, here is my interpretation is just 100 words, no more, no less for this Flash Fiction Friday piece: “This is how I like it best, when I can look into your eyes and see how much you want me. What happened to that feeling? Where has it been?” “Stop thinking so much, just enjoy the moment…the here and now. I’ve missed you so much, can’t you tell?” “I didn’t think we’d ever find ourselves here again, wrapped up in each other. In a way it feels like I don’t know you.” “Maybe you don’t, Stormi, maybe we...

Tuesday Tales - Don't Confuse the Lube with Ointment!

Image
Ahoy Fellow Fathomers! This week's Tuesday Tales prompt is the word "long". Please see how I use "long" in my new WIP erotic romance,  Sexy Bea Spelling . Our heroine, Bea, uses a week to lose her inhibitions, but, did she lose her heart as well? “We had the lights off because the toddlers fell asleep on our bed. I wanted my Tammy time before I moved them.” Craig’s face turned bright red. “I don’t think I can finish this story, my buzz wore off.” Tammy shook her head. “Craig told me something didn’t seem right, but, I said the lube was fine, just squirt out a handful and let’s go. At that point, the babies were getting restless, we didn’t have much time.” Tammy shook her head. “This sounds like some kind of Mission Impossible thing.” Craig temporarily forgot his embarrassment. “With kids, intimacy is a Mission Impossible thing, Bea, trust us.” “Craig put a large dollop in the center of my girl parts and proceeded to, you know, enter me.” Tammy...

Tuesday Tales Coming On Rather Abruptly

Image
I know last week I left everyone wondering where Joelle fell when the rotting walkway gave out. But, with this weeks' word prompt, abrupt, I couldn't fit it in! So, I'm moving back to my other work in progress, Sexy Bea Spelling. Let's see what Andrew thinks of Bea... “We don’t have to go home yet, do we?” “I’m still on administrative leave until they decide what to do with me, Andrew. You’re the one with a job in the morning.” The velvety nighttime sky set a perfect backdrop for the downtown Dallas skyline of lights. The ribbon of lights around the Omni Hotel changed colors as it cascaded down the numerous stories. The Reunion Tower ball glowed brightly with a dancing display of clear lights. They hopscotched around the orb in hyperactive motions. Andrew drove leisurely through the city holding Bea’s hand, his thumb stroking her palm. “You know what they say it means when someone scratches the palm of your hand, don’t you?” Bea leaned closer to him from he...

Tuesday Tales - The Sweet Scent of....Blood?

Image
Ahoy Fellow Fathomers! For this week's Tuesday Tales, we are writing to the word prompt, "Sweet". Please see another excerpt from my paranormal thriller, Jerky.   “I’ve seen the near impossible happen right before my eyes so you know I believe you Jo, and it’s hard to imagine some mortal human was capable of something like this.” Wylder pointed to the scene below them. “I’m going to make my way down there, just in case someone is hurt.” “I’ll follow you, just be careful, I don’t trust this rickety walkway.” Joelle slid both arms into the backpack straps of her crime scene go-bag. Wylder tentatively pressed with increasing weight before he finally took each step. The wood groaned and creaked, almost speaking the horrors of the room. A musty odor wafted from the dank wood railing to which they clung with gloved hands. The sweet, metal scent of blood lingered in the heavy air. Joelle closed her mouth tightly, breathing exclusively through her nose to keep from tasti...

Tuesday Tales Sexy in the Sun

Image
Ahoy Fellow Fathomers! This week's Tuesday Tales prompt is the word "sun". Please see how I use "sun" in my new WIP erotic romance, Sexy Bea Spelling . Our heroine, Bea, uses a week to lose her inhibitions, but, did she lose her heart as well? Take a peek at  Sexy Bea Spelling- “Just tell me one thing, Bea, did you allow your bed to get messy last week?” “Yes, Craig, I certainly did.” Bea looked dreamily away out the office window. A contented sigh escaped her slightly parted lips. “But, I’m not on vacay anymore, so, let’s get busy. My time to be lazy has passed.” In the bland office atmosphere, they continued reviewing complaints, scheduling surprise site visits, and wrapping up documentation on other cases. Bea typed furiously on her keyboard, looking up only to answer a handful of phone calls. Finally cracking her knuckles around lunchtime, her rumbling stomach reminded her to eat. “Hey, Craig, did you bring lunch or can you head out?” “I br...

Tuesday Tales and a little Menage!

Image
Ahoy Fellow Fathomers! This week's Tuesday Tales prompt is a picture. I use this beautiful serene setting to kickoff my new WIP erotic romance, Sexy Bea Spelling . Our heroine, Bea, uses a week to lose her inhibitions, but, did she lose her heart as well? Take a peek at  Sexy Bea Spelling- “Never in a million years would I have thought a ménage a` trois would be on my bucket list.” Bea’s cheeks reddened and she twisted the scarf between her hands. “It’s nothing to be ashamed of. We all need something wild we can fantasize about into our old age.” Andrew smiled, gently grasping her hands in his, momentarily stopping her nervous fingers. “It seemed so delicious and sinful all at the same time. Since this resort encourages the release of inhibitions, I felt free.” “You are free, Bea, you are an adult woman over the age of twenty-one who has needs you’ve denied for far too long. Just because you are satiated doesn’t mean you’ll return to reality and start hitting hook-u...

Tuesday Tales and a Twist on Fate

Image
Ahoy Fellow Fathomers! I celebrate the first Tuesday Tales in June with a brand new WIP!  This week I take you to an installment in a  brand new  sweet romantic YA read,  Twister Fate.   This week the word prompt is "train": Prologue September, 1993 The smell of roasted corn, barbeque, and kettle corn filled the air.  A clear blue sky provided the perfect backdrop for the small county fair in rural Oklahoma.  The bustle of school children out for the day created a lively atmosphere.  Each class grade manned a booth at the fair to raise money for their senior class trip. A dunk tank sat in a corner area, where the elementary principal awaited on the precarious perch for someone with impeccable aim. Ring toss, darts, and even a kissing booth boasted lines of kids and adults alike. Scarlett Johnson and Ricky Roberts walked hand in hand checking out the winning exhibits of farm animals. He was quiet, definitely unusual for s...

Tuesday Tales - Take a BITE Out of This

Image
Ahoy Fellow Fathomers! Happy May 21st! It's time for another edition of Tuesday Tales. This week I take you  to a new installment in my YA series WIP,  Finding Love and Bigfoot.    We Tuesday Tales Authors take on the word prompt "bite": "The others would be displeased if they knew of his unnatural interest in this other animal, especially a human. Those who would hurt, torture, or kill them, in the name of some superior curiosity- most other species were their natural enemies. Therefore, the Sasquatch breed lived in small pods, disguising their nests and existence in uncanny ways derived from centuries of adaptations.   Living in the hidden caves of the ridge worked successfully for he and his small group for several decades. Suddenly, another adult appeared, with a forceful grunt, she dropped a long strap of desiccated meat onto his chest. She left without another sound or inclination, cognizant of his dominance, although displaying her interest ...
