Tuesday Tales...Ahh, it's Valentine's Day- Are you in the mood for love?

Ahoy Fellow Fathomers! It's time for Tuesday Tales. A group of writers gather together and give our interpretation of a specific word prompt each week. Once per month, we even write to an image.  You never know what you might encounter when you get inside our minds. This week our group writes to the word- love.    This will be an excerpt f ro m my new WIP for a new romance contemporary, What the Storm Didn't Take. Enjoy!~ When I was younger, I couldn’t wait to fall in love. Love as I saw in the movies or on TV, you know a devilish, yet compassionate rogue who couldn’t get enough of me. His soft side always glistening in wait just below a steel surface exterior. To most folks he’d appear as a warrior, or maybe a scoundrel biker, gritty, his heart lined with sandpaper. Happy Tuesday and welcome to The Locker.  Today, I move to book two of my current WIP, A Game of Inches, for my Fantasy Leagues series. This week we write, to the word prompt "flower".  “Irony huh? I also went to see my mom. She is now hoarding jigsaw puzzles. However, we came to a mutual understanding, so, I’m looking past all the pieces scattered around in her house. I will be really out of commission for a few weeks. I have a legit reason. I don’t trust anyone else to run Fantasy Leagues. Will you please stay with me to see this through and start basketball?” Silence. “Please?” “Lola, just when I think I can walk away from you, both middle fingers standing proudly, you thro...

Ahoy Fellow Fathomers! Today is an awesome Wednesday and I hope everything is going your way in May…(see how I made that rhyme?) Maybe my euphoria is a bit over the top but, I’m so happy to share with you my new trademark. It will be my new tattoo and I couldn’t be more ecstatic. Allee's Quick Rendition My beautiful and talented 14 y/o daughter, Alexandrea, drew me a quick rendition of what I wanted. She captured my vision well and I was so ready to see it in color. A friend has some beautiful portrait tattoo work on his arms, and he referred me to his artist, Kayden DiGiovanni, of Dallas Tattoo. Kayden used Allee’s image and created a beautiful and lasting doppelgänger of what I think my writing means. Kayden's Artwork I love flowers and you will find me rescuing bouquets of clearance flowers from the back of Kroger. These guys need a home and a little wilt is nothing. They are beautiful to me. Fresh flowers represent life, beauty, and the potential to make anythi...
