Guest Guest Guest! Be My Guest!!! Amanda Bretz....

Ahoy this beautiful first full day of #spring!  the #equinox happened yesterday in the Dallas area underneath a cloud-covered rainy day...but, I'll take it. Fill the lakes! Today we have the amazing Amanda Bretz...she has a new release you just might like.  take it away, Amanda!! Thank you for hosting me on your blog today. TKO of the Heart is a contemporary romance set in present day Miami South Beach. The book is the first in a new sports romance trilogy called The Ladies of Athena’s Gym, which focuses on the romances that blossom between sexy heroes and athletic heroines. When I set out to write this story in the fall of 2014, I wrote and submitted it for a publisher’s special call out for stories about bridesmaids finding true love at a wedding. Originally, this was a standalone novella—the story still does standalone and ends with a happily ever after—but after I sent the manuscript off, another idea started to take shape. I started thinking a...

Tuesday Tales...A Stutter Step Changing His World

Image
Happy January Tuesday Tales... Today, I return to my current WIP, Personal Fouls, Book 3 for my Fantasy Leagues series. This week our group writes to the rather rebellious word,  stutter . Read a little more about Rudy... “How are you not resentful? You worked your whole life for your dream. Football was your life.” “I was damn resentful for a long time. You didn’t see me when this first happened.” How could I quantify my life to her? I matured more after the accident than in all my years before. “The only dream I’ve ever had was acceptance, to matter to someone besides my mom.” “Oh, Boo, you matter, you inspire people to challenge their insecurities. You invoke change when you walk into a room. You command attention without saying a word, and none of it’s because you’re so damn beautiful.” She leaned over, wrapping her arms around my neck. “I want to hold onto you forever.” "I'm more of a man now that my legs feel nothing. My heart takes up the...

Title: Furious Temptation Genre: Paranormal Erotic Romance Blurb:   For millennia Megaera, a Fury, has functioned as Hades right hand by passing judgment on demons who break the sacred laws. Welcome to The Locker and a special feature. I had the awesome opportunity to attend and volunteer at the Houston Author Event , hosted by Emily Lalone, owner of Lalone Marketing . I met ten amazing authors and I want to introduce them to you too. I spen t quite a bit of time with her during the day and her genuine down to earth, funny personality really shines. Today, meet the dynamite Tara Sivec . She is a USA Today best-selling author, wife, mother, chauffeur, maid, short-order cook, baby-sitter, and sarcasm expert. She lives in Ohio with her husband and two children and looks forward to the day when they all three of them become adults and move out. Flash Fiction Friday - Don't You Love Sitting in his Lap?

Image
TGIF Fellow Fathomers and welcome to the last day of January 2014. I hope you are staying warm where you are. I skimmed an article today that explained parts of Alaska had warmer weather than parts of the contiguous 48 States. This is crazy. But, all this cold weather does mean you can cuddle with the one you love and keep warm. And, so the chill of the month is perfect for the picture below. Just how warm do you think these two are? What story do they have to tell? Well, here is my interpretation is just 100 words, no more, no less for this Flash Fiction Friday piece: “This is how I like it best, when I can look into your eyes and see how much you want me. What happened to that feeling? Where has it been?” “Stop thinking so much, just enjoy the moment…the here and now. I’ve missed you so much, can’t you tell?” “I didn’t think we’d ever find ourselves here again, wrapped up in each other. In a way it feels like I don’t know you.” “Maybe you don’t, Stormi, maybe we...

Just Out of My Grasp - Did Someone Say Snow?

IT'S COMING NEXT MONTH! HOPE YOU'RE READY! Ahoy Fellow Fathomers, I’ve decided to use my blog not only to writing, music, and other facets of entertainment, but, also to share my journey. I’ve had significant health problems for almost two years. Initially, my rheumatologist diagnosed me with systemic lupus (SLE) on June 19, 2013. However, the medication wasn’t working and I kept getting worse and developing new symptoms. So, after second, third, and fourth opinions, my neurologist believes instead I have fibromyalgia.   I hear some of you sigh and groan. Frankly, I don’t blame you. Because for a long time, I was one of THOSE people. Yea, THOSE people. The ones who snubbed my nose at the notion of Fibromyalgia. I know I’ve said it before, but, it bears repeating because I want anyone reading this to understand how important recognition and respect for this disease is. An auto-immune disease of any kind is a formidable opponent, but, luckily, I’m harnessing it. For the ...
