Jasinda Wilder Book Review ***** Five Snowflakes Falling Into Us by Jasinda Wilder – Parallel Novel to Falling Into You Just as in Falling Into You , I usually do not prefer first person narratives, but, Ms. Wilder’s reflective writing style did not disappoint me in this particular book. She did a very good job of delving into some history of the main characters not mentioned extensively in the "sister" installment. She wrote from the viewpoint of best friends, Jason and Becca, to the hero, Kyle, and and heroine, Nell, giving an honest thoughtful perspective from their involved points of view. Ms. Wilder fully develops characters from a pivotal moment in their lives dating and falling in love. However, in this book, she describes intimacy between the young lovers’ adult unions with sexy descriptors and leaves little to the imagination. Hello Fellow Fathomers! Today in The Locker I combine a book review with a movie review for The Silver Linings Playbook. As soon as the movie released last fall in the theater, I just had to go see it. (and I see few movies in the theater) Silver Linings Playbook Matthew Quick’s excellent, heartfelt novel provided the start of a screenplay with substance. From the opening scene to the end, David O. Russell captured my imagination and I found myself cheering that he did not try to “fix” anyone- instead, he revealed to the audience how life actually is for many people living with various degrees of mental illness. For 122 minutes, we see a glimpse into the highs and lows that sometimes cycle for people several times within a given day.   I identified with the mother, Dolores, played so brilliantly by Jacki Weaver- trying to hold her family together while standing firm to her own principles. Reflected in You by Sylvia Day Book Review WITH SPOILERS Ahoy Fellow Fathomers! Today in The Locker I offer my book review for Reflected in You by Sylvia Day. I read this book rather quickly, finishing it in a couple of days. The book held my interest as I read. I looked forward to the sequel of Bared to You, the Cary situation left me hanging waiting for this installment. I cared about him and it concerned me how he would come out of the situation that ended the first book in this series. I almost felt there was more character development for Cary than there was between Eva and Gideon. Eva and Gideon shared several hot scenes. However, I appreciated that instead of more sex scenes, this book had more situations that did not revolve around sex. For me, a book needs to have sex to add to the storyline, not BE the storyline. Otherwise, that’s just cheesy porn. Eva and Gideon had more discussions and shared more intimacies with conversation and I liked that aspect. My fa...
