Tuesday Tales and a Sultry Image

Happy early Valentine's Day!

This week our group writes to a very sexy inspired photo:

Our picture prompts are only 300 words, no less - no more. Let's see how this image inspired me this week.

"We are open with each other, I’m still the same woman.”

“I’m not the same man.”  I wouldn’t leave anything open ended.

“I know you are, Rudy. You have a new energy.” She leaned down to kiss me, lingering face to face, catching my gaze. “You’re extraordinary.”

How could Lola not know this energy came from our connection? “In many ways, you make me better. When I first met you, I didn’t know what I was missing out on. You filled the gaps, all the spaces my love needed to go.”

“Love?” Hiding a shy smile, she spurred me on, I couldn’t stop now. “But, we have a strange beginning.”

“I won’t stop coming to the LockHim Room. We created an atmosphere of trust, love- the ultimate connection. I trust you more than anyone.”

“I know, I loved being in there with you. It’s just…we had a different routine then.”

“Do you think people in wheelchairs can’t get into S & m?”

“I never thought about the situation.”

“I’m more than a situation, Lola. I’m a flesh and blood man, the same man as when I stood on two feet taking your flogger and eating up every…single… moment.” Our conversation couldn’t end with her feeling sorry for me, I didn’t want that. “I don’t want you hanging around here if you won’t accept me as the same man you whipped for both our pleasures.” Not now, she couldn’t reject me now. Not when I had so little pride left. I could never let her see how broken I still was.

“What if I hurt you?”

“Seriously? That’s your response. I’m not the weakling getting sand kicked in my face. You’re my rescuer for a completely different reason. You make me feel like the man I was before this damn accident.”

RA and Pruritis AKA - FREAKING ITCHING

Hello everyone...
Living with autoimmune disease is a challenge.  I have RA and Sjogrens. The maddening part is sometimes the day brings a new challenge I didn't expect. Take Saturday for example, my body went into full-on itching powder craziness.

I have a high allergy level to trees, weeds, grass, some pet danders, mold, well...you get the picture. Because the same processes that attack allergens also wreaks havoc with the auto-immune system.

I also have neuropathy and a loss of sensation. Which I realize is an odd combination when I have the horrible itching, but, my skin lacks sensation.

Huh?

The itching is like an inside out hives, imagine deep under the skin all of a sudden, a thousand chiggers invaded. You try and try scratching to get to the source. but, you can't.

Well, I sat in a tub of epsom salt and warm water trying to soothe achy tired muscles and joints. Then, I began scratching the insatiable itch.

Here's the result, and I didn't know this was happening:

These marks aren't just red streaks, they are now hickie looking stripes up and down both legs. I didn't feel how deeply I was scratching. Scary stuff.
It reminded me of going to the dentist and receiving novacaine. The dentist instructs you to be careful because you could bite your jaw or lip and not feel it.
What I'm cautioning you, please be careful. With damages to your nervous system you could be rougher or not as careful as you should be.

Life is Peachy Keen! Cover Reveal...Kate Roth

BLURB: Georgia Trenton has always been lucky in lust but hasn’t ever been interested in love. She prefers quickies to courtships, never seeing the need for more than just sex.

Years of listening to her best friend Danielle’s relationship woes had assured her she was right to avoid romance altogether. But ever since Dani returned from vacation in love and looking like the poster girl for happily ever after with her new boyfriend Evan Weston, Georgia has been questioning her wild ways and thinking about the future.

In an attempt to forget about the uncertainties that plague her and escape the constant symphony of sex noises coming through the walls of her apartment thanks to Evan and Danielle, Georgia jets off to Desire Resort & Spa hoping to enjoy the rowdy vacation hotspot the way it was meant to be enjoyed.

No strings attached. No commitments. And with one sexy stranger…no names.

But when strings appear, complicating what was supposed to be a carefree getaway, and commitment suddenly doesn’t sound as bad as it used to, Georgia finds herself wondering if lust is really enough.

Tuesday Tales Moving Into February Ring the Bell!

Happy February Tuesday Tales... Today, I return to my current WIP, Personal Fouls, Book 3
for my Fantasy Leagues series. This week our group writes to the rather rebellious word, ring. I put a different spin on the usual meaning this time of year...

“Your father won’t stand trial for the murder charges.”  Louise appeared tired, yet relieved. “As his power of attorney, I signed a plea agreement with the District Attorney on his behalf.”
“What else was in the plea?” I certainly didn’t want my mom taking any heat for his shit. I knew it was a long shot, but, I wanted to know for sure.
“He will stay in the state remanded facility for the rest of his life. I basically admitted guilt for him.”
“You really couldn’t have done anything else.”
“Something else, I won’t be seeing him ever again.”
“I understand mom. I’d never expect you to.”
“When he dies, the state will cremate his body. We will not have a service. I paid for all expenses up front. I won’t return then either.”
I couldn’t protect my mother. In many ways, I felt I failed her. “You should have had a better life.”
“Every good memory, every happy moment in my life are genuine delights. When your father kept his secrets far from our home, he did us both a favor.”
“Will I ever stop hating? All my joy is gone, every last bit.  I wish I could have the chance to really ring his bell.”
“Son, you must make the choice. The sun still rises, the waves still crash, fire will burn, and ice will sting. Don’t let his fiendish side consume you, don’t give him anymore of your life.”
“Mom, you’re being a little granola right now.”
“We aren’t the first family to deal with tragedy. Unfortunately, we won’t be the last, we aren’t an anomaly in the human world. The right to feel sorry for ourselves lasts but a fleeting moment, then it’s gone.”
“You’re so strong, or is this all to make me feel better?”

Mom smiled a little. “Maybe you’re not the only one who needs reminded.”
